About Kenneth
Folks started asking for lessons after hearing me play at open mics, so I transitioned into coaching to share how I handle a guitar. This path led me to 13 years of gigging across the American South.
I guide absolute beginners and hobbyists through the basics of strumming patterns. Intermediate learners often join me to refine their fingerpicking or master tricky barre chords. Many students want to understand music theory without getting lost in the weeds.
I also help performance-focused adults tackle lead guitar parts and complex scales. My approach remains hands-on and playful because music is meant to be fun. Outside of the studio, I still enjoy catching a local set at a quiet corner venue.

Usually, the first session feels a bit like a casual jam between friends. I confess that I prefer teaching by doing rather than staring at boring charts. We will spend time looking at your song requests and turning them into simplified arrangements that you can actually play. My 13 years in bars taught me that reading tabs is helpful, but feeling the rhythm is vital.
I break down chord transitions so they flow naturally during your practice. We work on music theory by applying it directly to the songs you want to play. You might find yourself reading sheet music or mastering modes sooner than expected.
I keep things light while we focus on your specific progress. Together, we will get you ready to play for an audience with total confidence.
