I have been studying Portuguese with Josie for 4 months and am enjoying it enormously. Josie has a warm and friendly teaching style and explains new words and grammar in a way that is easy to understand. Her lessons are professionally prepared, and supported with lots of authentic audio/visual materials. I am making excellent progress and would recommend Josie to anyone who would like to benefit from one-to-one tuition in Portuguese.

I found Josie profile online after looking for a Portuguese teacher. I am currently starting my 3rd year with her. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to learn Portuguese. Her teaching has allowed me to communicate with my girlfriend's family & friends and appreciate the Portuguese/Brazilian cultures. She is extremely friendly and accommodating and as they say “um pouco louca”.

I began studying with Josie two years ago and found she was the perfect choice; she is friendly and patient, encouraging and enthusiastic. She is always well prepared so I can practice conversation with her as well as complete the course book. Josie understands student needs well and clearly explains the rules and peculiarities of Portuguese. Josie é uma professora excelente! Josie is able to adapt her teaching style so that both my husband and I can learn together which is an achievement as we both learn very differently! She has made the materials relevant to our interests so that our lessons are interesting and fun. Josie is positive, fun and a great teacher and she is been very helpful and always sends me tests/homework to do which is improving my Portuguese and she is very flexible towards my hectic work schedule.
