About Jacky

Education professional with 8+ years working with youths and young adults. Through persistence and creative thinking, created over 5 meaningful jobs for students with disabilities at MacEwan University. Drew on interpersonal leadership skills to manage a team of 24 counselors and over 350 campers at YMCA Camp Chief Hector. Have experience working in elementary through to post-secondary settings, teaching and tutoring both in English and in French.

About the lesson

I base my teaching on student knowledge, interest, and ability. I work with students to find strategies that suit them and their own personal interest so as to keep them engaged and excited while they learn. I focus not only on having student achieve certain academic outcomes but also on getting to know the student and developing a relationship with them.
