About Emily

I have direct, personal encounters with music every day as an undergraduate flautist at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

I have extensive expertise and exposure to symphonic, chamber, and solo playing due to playing principal flute in the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, attending the music-specialized Wells Cathedral School for seven years, and participating in multiple contests since i was young.

Offering lessons on flute, Piccolo, Alto flute, bass flute, recorder and basic music theory.

About the lesson

As an undergrad at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, I experience, first-hand, high standard teaching and musical experiences on the daily. I am a London based Classical Flautist with 12 years of experience, having been a student at Specialist music school, Wells Cathedral school.

Listening to and creating beautiful music is my forte, however, with distinctions in all grades 1-8, I can especially help with examination prep.
What better way to grow your love for the flute, than to widen your understanding and appreciation of flute, chamber and orchestral music!

I believe that teaching should be fun and exciting. Even more so, from experience, I believe that the relationship between teacher and student is incredibly important. That is why I strive to be as friendly and fun as possible in the practice room. Therefore, I am happy to work with any age or standard and tailor my methods for the student I am working with.
