• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  Well, teaching has always been my passion. Moreover, I love learning and being in a learning environment. Teaching is a job with a lot of variety, we get to meet different kinds of learners with different learning goals. Everyone is different in their own ways and their experience of learning too. That's something that makes the teaching task more interesting for me.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  I am the kind of person who is always open to trying new ideas or approaches to improve and learn. As teachers, we have the great privilege and responsibility to impact our students' lives positively, giving them reasons to push forward and motivating them to want to succeed in their life. The impact of teaching and seeing how they are improving and growing motivates me the most.

• How does your work help society?

  I believe 'Knowledge increases by sharing but not by saving.' Sharing my knowledge not only helps my students but also helps me improve my personal performance, effectiveness, and skills. If we really care about society, We know sharing is caring, and it applies to knowledge also. And nowadays, we are blessed that we have such good platforms where we can share our knowledge and experiences and learn from each other and can contribute to making our societies a better place to live.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  My role model is Vikas Divyakirti sir, who is also the founder of drishti ias, the knowledge he has is incredible and has no arrogance even after achieving so much in his life. He is known for his incredible teaching style. Some qualities that I have noticed include his unique method of clearing concepts of complex topics, a great sense of humor, his simple living, his eagerness of learning more, his humble nature, and love and support for his students.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  My hobbies other than teaching are reading novels, dancing, and exercising which make me fit and healthy. I've many achievements in dancing as I was a very active member of my college dance societies, and have experience of teaching for 5 years. I like traveling a lot, I love to visit and explore different places.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  I was not a very bright and sharp-minded child in my childhood. I was an average student in my class and had no confidence at all. Some people doubted my capability. But after a point of time, when I started to understand myself more and focused on learning more and improving more, my life changed in almost every sphere. I started participating in most of the events/functions happening in my college. Even in class I used to actively listen to my teachers and respond to their questions. Improved my communication skills which made me more confident. So, Keep learning always, no matter what you have achieved already in your life.
