About Cassandra
Believe it or not, those of the past are more similar to us than they are different. Oftentimes the study of history is confused for benefiting from a skill in memorization when really (here's the secret!) it's about understanding. Whether it's understanding patterns, people, events, empires, art, religions and more, my goal is to help you achieve your goals by developing your understanding of history. I entered the field of education because of my passion for history and how important I believe it is for everyone to be familiar with it. I completed my BA in History and Religious Studies in the United States before coming to Sydney to work on my Master of Teaching. I hope that my passion for the study of history is infectious and that, along with my understanding of teaching, will help lead you to a successful future built on an understanding of the past!

As a Master of Teaching student, I recognize how important an individualized approach to learning is. As your tutor, I would develop a teaching plan built to best suit you or your child's specific needs so that we can achieve your learning goals. A typical length of a lesson would be around 1 hour with availability to adjust based on your needs. I have a Bachelor of Arts in History and Religious Studies and am currently working on my Master of Teaching in History. During my postgraduate course I have taught students history at the high school level within Sydney. For this reason, my lessons are primarily for year 7 students and above.
