About George
After gaining a 2:1 in History and Politics from the University of Warwick, I completed a postgraduate course in London. I am now starting an EdTech company, and looking to supplement my income through tutoring. I have worked in a school for five months, and have undertaken a number of roles, ranging from mentor, to maths tutor, to Teaching Assistant (primarily in History). I have also led classes for different Year Groups on more niche topics, ranging from politics to environmental studies. All of these lessons I have designed myself. I am a calm, friendly and patient individual who gets enjoyment from helping others to succeed. I have always been excited about academics, and due to my like of problem solving and my personable personality, I particularly enjoy thinking of new ways of helping people understand things, and tailoring my teaching to individual students. I believe schools rarely bring out the natural excitement of education in their curriculum and this is something I aim to reverse in my tutoring. George is a brilliant tutor who pays great attention to detail. He is well versed in the relevant curriculums, he teaches in accordance to the individualised needs of each child and is extremely polite and friendly.
