About Mayte

Norwegian: I am from Andalusia, Seville, and I am passionate about education and working with people. I have a bachelor's degree in pedagogy and a master's degree in physical activity and quality of life for adults and the elderly. In addition, I have a doctorate in education from the University of Seville, and I am currently conducting a research stay at Nord University here in Bodø. I have a solid pedagogical background that I use in my teaching to ensure that learning is effective, dynamic and adapted to each individual student. I teach with closeness, empathy and motivation, and I place great importance on creating a safe space where you can learn, develop and feel comfortable. I speak Spanish and English, and I am currently learning Norwegian, so I understand both the challenges and the joy of learning a new language. This is my third year in Bodø, a city I have fallen completely in love with because of its nature and tranquility. In my classes you will not only learn grammar, but also culture, authentic expressions and the little extras that make the language come alive. My goal is to accompany you along the way with both professionalism and warmth, so that you gain confidence and can enjoy the learning process. Me gusta enseñar desde la cercanía, la empatía y la motivation, creando un espacio donde te sientas cómodo/a para aprender y avantar. Hablo español e inglés, y actualmente estoy aprendiendo noruego, así que entiendo muy bien lo que implica aprender un nuevo idioma y los retos (¡y alegrías!) que conlleva.
