About Natalie
Spanish is one part of a twenty-year tutoring career during which I have worked closely with 1030 students of genuinely varying ages and skill levels throughout. My background includes practical, hands-on experience with the language gained through decades of real-world use rather than purely formal classroom study alone. I am an informal, conversational tutor, and my sessions often feel like a genuinely collaborative working session rather than a traditional one-directional lecture. I take on both complete beginners and more advanced students, adjusting my teaching style considerably depending on which particular group I am working with. Watching a student move from hesitant guesswork to confident speech is deeply satisfying.

I introduce Spanish through practical, real world style challenges wherever possible, such as real conversations about work, travel, or family, which makes the language feel immediately purposeful rather than purely theoretical. Lessons stay short and focused, never longer than ten minutes of pure explanation before guided practice begins, since attention tends to drop sharply during extended one directional talking. Students keep a personal error log documenting mistakes and exactly how they fixed them, which I review periodically to spot recurring weaknesses. Each lesson closes with a short reflection question asking the student to explain the day's key idea in their own words rather than repeating mine.
