About Mina
I’m Mina, an artist and educator with a Masters in Fine Art Painting and a background in Architecture from Central Saint Martins (UAL). Since 2016, I’ve been working as a practising creative—exhibiting work, running workshops, and freelancing across illustration, design, and community arts. Teaching is something I value deeply because I believe art is for everyone. I know how powerful creativity can be in building confidence, self-expression, and new ways of seeing the world. I’ve had teachers and mentors who encouraged me when I was starting out, and I want to pass that same encouragement forward to others. My goal as a tutor is to create a space where students feel supported, inspired, and free to experiment—whether they’re preparing a portfolio for art school, just beginning their creative journey, or rediscovering art later in life

I teach art in a way that is supportive, practical, and confidence-building. Each lesson is adapted to the student’s goals; whether that’s preparing an art or architecture portfolio, learning the basics of drawing, or exploring creative expression. A typical session (1 Hour) combines foundational exercises (like sketching from life, shading, or perspective) with more imaginative methods - such as drawing from film clips, inspired by my “Drawing from Moving Image” workshop. This mix helps students strengthen technique, loosen up creatively, and see art in new ways. I hold a Masters in Fine Art Painting (UAL) and a BA in Architecture from Central Saint Martins. I have been an active creative since 2013, with over 8 years of professional experience across exhibitions, freelance illustration and design, and running creative workshops. I also offer supportive lessons for non-native English speakers who want to practise conversational English through creative activities. My lessons are suitable for beginners, intermediate learners, and students aiming to develop their portfolio or creative confidence.
