About Somi
I am an experienced piano tutor with 12 years of teaching students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. My teaching philosophy focuses on creating a structured, positive, and encouraging learning environment where students can progress at their own pace while developing both technical proficiency and musical creativity.
I have guided students through performances, graded exams, and competitions, helping them gain confidence, achieve milestones, and perform with poise. Lessons include technique, sight-reading, music theory, improvisation, and expressive playing, all customised to the student’s level, learning style, and goals.
I aim to foster discipline, confidence, and a lifelong love for music while ensuring that each lesson is productive, inspiring, and enjoyable.
