I emphasize learner-centered instruction in my work as a tutor, which means I adjust my methods to each student's unique requirements, learning preferences, and speed.
In order to monitor progress and make dynamic strategy adjustments, I also incorporate formative assessment during every session.
This framework is usually followed in every lesson:
Warm-up/Review (5–10 minutes): A quick rundown of the last session or a quick test to help you recall what the student already know.
Learning Objective & Agenda (5 minutes): Clearly state the purpose of the meeting and the steps that will be taken to reach it.
Core Instruction (25–30 minutes): Use interactive explanations, examples to introduce or deepen understanding of the major topic.
Guided Practice (15–20 minutes): Through conversations or exercises, students apply what they have learned with assistance.
In order to assist students become self-sufficient learners, I place a strong emphasis on metacognition.
I'm very data-driven and flexible; I'm always assessing what works and making the necessary adjustments.
I use a sympathetic and inspiring approach, emphasizing confidence growth above skill.
