About Adam
I am an experienced primary school teacher of 6 years based in Nottingham. I have taught classes of every KS2 year group including high numbers of SEN and higher ability pupils. I am practised at coaching Year 6 pupils through their SATs exams and have a thorough and deep knowledge of the entire primary curriculum. I have also been extremely successful at pushing higher ability pupils and deepening their mastery of the curriculum.
I studied to gain my PGCE at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln (2014) and also have a degree in English and Creative Writing from the university of Northumbria in Newcastle (BA Hons 2011). I have written for a number of successful publications and currently write and produce podcasts alongside my teaching.
While online tutoring is a fairly new venture for me, my classroom experience has given me a wide perspective of the challenges that KS2 pupils face. However, I have also identified the areas in which additional tutoring outside of school can be beneficial and give pupils an additional sense of responsibility and curiosity for learning.
I offer online tutoring sessions in Maths and English and specialise in preparing Year 6 pupils for their SATs.

My teaching is creative, engaging and indivisualised to the needs of each and every pupil. I bring a love and passion to the role that I believe has nurtured and lit a spark within my pupils.
My teaching style is conversational and relaxed and is usually based around games or stories in order to develop spoken and written English at all Primary levels.
