About Bobby
A product San Diego, California, Bobby played Division 1 collegiate baseball at multiple schools. After graduating college with a degree in economics, he played two short seasons of independent professional baseball in the Pecos League. Over the course of his career, he has been blessed to have been coached and mentored by many great athletes and coaches including Reggie Smith, Tom House, Drew Brees, Ryan Braun, Jack Kemp, and Ryan Lindley. Bobby got his start in coaching at Coast Baseball and Sports Fitness as a hitting instructor and youth camp director before becoming the Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Hoover High School at the age of 23. In 2022, he led the American Legion Post 492 Panthers to their first regional championship since 1955. He loves to share his wealth of knowledge with kids to help guide them on the field, in the classroom, and most importantly, in life. Bobby also works at the State Capitol and owns and operates a holiday and event lighting company in San Diego.

Great Coach! Great person!
Multiple times I have seen Coach Bobby work with elementary aged kids one hour then immediately start training a professional in the next hour. He is a very impressive coach with a large array of knowledge. He has a gift in being able to transfer that knowledge to athletes of all ages and abilities. My wife and I highly recommend Coach Bobby to anyone looking to improve their game.
Coach Bobby is great with my boys! He is very patient with both of them and they can be a handful at times!
Bobby has only been working with my son for a few months now and his game has seen tremendous improvement! We could not recommend him enough!
Both of my sons have been working with Coach Schuman over the past few years and always feel better and more confident after a session with him. You can tell that he truly loves what he does and cares about his players.
Coach Schuman is very knowledgeable about hitting and pitching fundamentals. He has a special ability to explain complex mechanics in a simple and easy to understand way.
