About David

I am a classical musician with more than 15 years of professional experience, both in Portugal and abroad.

My main instrument is Flute Transversal, but I also teach: Piccolo, Traverso and recorder.

I am available to teach students of all ages and all levels. Lessons can either be at my music Studio in Queluz or at the student's home.
I also have a flute for beginner students to try out.

- Haute École de Musique in Geneva (Masters in Musical Interpretation)
- Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels (Masters in Music)
- Lisbon Superior School of Music (Degree in Music)
- Music School of the National Conservatory in Lisbon (Music Course)

About the lesson

As a teacher, the aim of each class is for the student to gradually feel more and more comfortable with his instrument, by continually working on the relationship between the two.

To achieve this goal, we will work equally on the Technical and Musical components of Instrument playing. A greater technical mastery of the instrument will allow the student to express and develop their musicality as freely as possible, and vice versa.

Each student will have their lessons adapted to their own needs and goals, always considering that the most basic premise in my teaching technique is that "pleasure should be the guidance for progress".
