About Sheila
I am an experienced and dedicated private home tutor who is passionate about helping students reach their full academic potential. With several years of hands-on teaching experience, I specialize in guiding students from Year 1 to Year 11 in English, Mathematics, Bahasa Melayu, and Sejarah, following the Malaysian curriculum.
My teaching approach is structured, patient, and student-centered. I focus on building strong foundations, improving understanding, and developing effective exam strategies while nurturing confidence and independent learning skills. Each lesson is carefully planned to suit the student’s level, learning pace, and academic goals.
I maintain a high standard of professionalism by being punctual, well-prepared, and consistent in communication with both students and parents. Regular progress updates are provided, and lessons are conducted in a supportive, respectful, and motivating environment.
My aim is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to develop discipline, critical thinking, and a positive attitude towards learning. Parents can be assured that their child will receive focused attention, clear guidance, and committed support throughout their learning journey.

My Approach to Tutoring & Teaching
I believe every child learns differently, so my tutoring approach is personalized, structured, and results-focused. I aim to build strong foundations, improve confidence, and help students become independent learners, not just score well in exams.
Teaching Techniques & Methodology
• One-to-one, personalized teaching based on the student’s learning style
• Diagnostic assessment to identify strengths and weak areas
• Step-by-step explanations using real-life examples
• Clear notes, guided practice, and regular revision
• Exam-oriented techniques, answering strategies, and time management skills
• Continuous feedback to parents with progress updates
I emphasize understanding before memorization, especially for Math, Bahasa Melayu, and Sejarah, while building strong reading, writing, and communication skills in English.
