About Oliver
I was born and raised in Germany and moved to New Zealand at the age of 27. I'm a New Zealand citizen. Having lived in New Zealand for over 15 years, I am fluent in English but German is my native language. Through my own experience of learning English and studying Te Reo Māori at NMIT for two years, I understand the realities of learning a second language as an adult. I enjoy sharing that experience with others in a clear, supportive, and structured way. I'm based in Nelson.

I genuinely enjoy teaching German and have previously given casual German lessons on a small scale, which I found very rewarding. My teaching style is structured, disciplined, and methodical, with a clear focus on building strong foundations. I have an analytical, organized approach and believe structure is key to language learning. Having learned English as a second language myself and studied Te Reo Māori for two years, I understand the challenges involved and use that insight to support and guide students effectively.
