About Jack

Hello! My name is Jack. I am passionate drummer and percussionist with over 13 years of experience in live performance, recording and tutoring. I am also the founder of Rhythm Collective - The drumming company which provides professional and affordable drumming tuition, online classes and workshops.

My playing began with local musicians around my home town of Walton-On-Thames. This fuelled early ambitions and quickly led playing with more musicians and contributing to projects further afield.

At the age of 18, I obtained a DISTINCTION in his studies at the Academy of Contemporary Music and left with a Diploma in Music Performance, Songwriting, Theory and Music Culture. As well as a qualification in Production and Music Business.

Being educated at The Academy allowed me to to have early, in-depth and comprehensive experience playing with a wide plethora of musicians through a huge range of genres such as - Contemporary and Classic Rock, Pop, Soul, Funk, R’N’B, Blues and World Music. This would give me a solid foundation to becoming a well-rounded drummer, performer and later – tutor.

After leaving the Academy, I continued playing up and down the UK with multiple projects and artists. This would eventually lead to tutoring aspiring drummers, as well as starting and working with his original band ‘DALI’ who were featured as one of KERRANG! Radio’s Fresh Blood Top Picks in 2020 and have been noted as 'ones to watch' by multiple music and entertainment publications.

I have tought 80+ students to both attain personal drumming goals and also work towards graded examinations throught the use of fun, accessible and relaxed study programs and practise exercises.
I have helped and tutored many students and coached them into getting into their chosen schools and colleges whilst giving them the neccessary skills to forge a solid foundation in drumming.

Today, I continually work to develop my craft and professional skills playing live all over the country, recording in professional studios with his own band as well featuring on other contemporary artists work and teaching my amazing students!

There is nothing I love more than drumming, teaching and sharing the passion for the instrument that has shaped my life in more ways than I can count.
