About Frederikke
I've studied anthropology and spanish at university level. I spent a year at the University of los Andes in the capital of Colombia. There I took a certificate in spanish (C1), and every course was taught in Spanish as well as everything around me took a colombian/spanish form. Besides my interest in cultures, hispanic culture, latinamerica, spanish and grammar, I am interested in music, which I currently use a lot of time on. That also means that I think a great way to learn a new language is to translate the popular songs, as that gives you a straightforward way to understanding the culture - and also improves your day-to-day communication and comprehension. I've always had a great interest in languages and grammar, in that sense I am a bit of a nerd when it comes to languages and spanish. I try to vary between a focus on grammar, on colloquial communication and expanding the vocabulary.

I base my classes on curiosity, trying to expand the students knowledge from where there are. I focus on vocabulary, colloquial communication - having a fluent ongoing conversation- and correct use of grammar and pronunciation. I like to bring in spanish song-lyrics and latin music culture, as that gives a more fluent and intuitive grasp on the language.
