Private tutor that loves to bring science alive! - Maths tutor with Sofia

I am writing this reference as Second in Faculty and KS3 Co-ordinator of Launceston College Science Faculty to fully support Sofia’s application to tutor with this site.

Sofia worked at Launceston College between Christmas January 2015 and April 2017 and made a significant contribution to the science faculty.

Particular highlights of Sofia’s work include her flexibility and her ability to teach well to all Key Stages. She successfully taught classes from age 11-16, from a wide range of abilities, across all three sciences, as well as Chemistry A-Level.

I observed Sofia teach on many occasions and regularly saw excellent practice. Her lessons are some of the most creative and exciting I have ever seen and she carefully considers the progress and inclusion of all students in the class.

Sofia was a hardworking and very conscientious member of the team who has the ability to motivate, inspire and enthuse the pupils in her classes. I wholeheartedly recommend her to you. She is missed at the College and would re-hire her with no hesitation

Teacher Sofia is very dynamic when teaching the English language. She knows to deal with different types of learners and can even easily adjust herself with students she just met. Her voice is loud and clear that helps students understand her instructions and she even does the second mile by coaching the students to reach their goals and task for the day. She plans fun activities and delegates tasks to her students properly. In our fun English camp, she was able to direct the students and help them come up with the good drama on the spot. She is very easy to work with and very friendly. She has dealt with low level english learners by giving them appropriate tasks they can independently do and coach advanced english learners by discussing ideas and spark creativity.
