About Aria
I am an approachable tutor, whose students feel at ease discussing any issues they may have. This is crucial to my teaching, as students should feel comfortable discussing any material they are finding difficult, so I can address the problem and instead turn the topic into one my students enjoy. Throughout my PGCE, I worked with high school students of various capabilities and used unique methods to engage my students e.g. geometry lessons outside. I have also tutored first year university students of The University of Manchester during my role as PASS (Peer Assisted Study Sessions) Leader, helping them achieve the best possible results in tests and exams.

Having studied at prestigious universities, my aim is always to assist students to fulfil their own dreams and potential. I have tried and tested various methods on how best to learn, myself and through analysing how my students learn, and I believe that teaching and studying should be catered to each individual. As such, I address my student's specific needs e.g. English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and harness their strengths. For example, I have often employed bilingual dictionaries and learnt phrases in my students' home languages. I believe it is vital to create an atmosphere full of positivity in order to inspire my students to achieve the best results.
By working with students' strengths, I personalise my lesson for individual students in order for them to succeed. I do not believe in the 'one size fits all' model. I build a bond with my students based on mutual respect.
