About Michael

Hi! I’m a pianist, composer, and teacher with over 25 years on stages and in studios around the world. I’ve played the grand piano in the Burj Al Arab in Dubai, jammed in Kempinski ballrooms, written and arranged for Ukrainian superstars Ani Lorak and Mikhail Poplavsky, and shared the stage with killer jazz cats and symphony orchestras. Long story short: I’ve lived music inside out.
Teaching is my absolute favorite thing on the planet.
I take everyone — 7-year-olds touching the keys for the first time, teenagers prepping for exams, adults who always dreamed of playing but thought “I’m too old” or “I have no talent.” Spoiler: age and “talent” are myths we destroy in the first 10 minutes.

My lessons are never boring. No “sit straight and suffer through scales for 40 minutes.” We find YOUR sound, YOUR style, and make the piano feel like an extension of who you are.
Trained in Kyiv (a teacher of music diploma), toured the world, taught hundreds of students from complete beginners to pros.

About the lesson

My lessons are built around YOU (or your child) and what you actually want to play. No dusty method books from page 1 unless that’s your thing.
For kids 7+ and complete beginners
I start with short, game-based introductory courses (8–12 lessons) that teach solid piano technique and basic music theory without killing the joy. Lots of duets, improvisation from day one, funny rhythm games, and instant songs they already love. Most kids leave the first block playing 3–5 real pieces with both hands and begging for more.
For teens and adults
We jump straight into your goals:

Classical (ABRSM, Trinity Classical, exam prep or just for pleasure)
Jazz & improvisation
Pop/rock/movie soundtracks by ear and from lead sheets
Songwriting and arranging your own music

Every lesson is 100% customized. You choose the repertoire, I make sure your technique, reading, and musicality grow fast and stay healthy. Online or in-person, same quality.
Trial lesson (30–40 min) is always free or half-price — we play, talk goals, and you’ll leave knowing exactly how we’ll get you there.
