About Nicole

Nicole O. has been a professional vocalist and musician for over 25 years. She has performed nationwide at venues, such as, Hard Rock Live, the White House and Madison Square Garden.

Nicole has been a voice, piano, guitar and violin instructor for over 15 years. She specializes in vocal coaching for musical theatre, pop, soul, and jazz. She will help you reclaim the full expression of your true voice.

Nicole is the creator of "The Mode of Om" a method that employs breathwork, holistic bodywork, yoga, meditation and creative visualization to help students rehumanize through the power of their voice.

She holds Bachelor of Arts degrees (with honors) in Music and Anthropology, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Rollins College in the top 2% of her class.

About the lesson

I was five years old when I discovered my singing voice. My youthful curiosity soon blossomed into a passion for music through voice, piano, guitar and violin. My mission is to share the wisdom that has enriched my life by nurturing my students' creative expression.

I have over 25 years experience as a professional vocalist and musician. For over 15 years, I have coached students to reclaim the full expression of their true voice. I specialize in singing, music performance and theory, songwriting, musical theatre, public speaking and audition prep.

As a teacher, I focus equally on technique and artistry. Mastering aligned form provides the foundation upon which a student’s capacity for creativity may grow. I help students develop a holistic understanding of music through aural, visual, and tactile exercises.

Progress is evaluated by developing a set of goals specific to each student. I facilitate a cooperative learning environment and tailor lessons to each student's interests, strengths and learning preferences. I provide students with a plan to succeed which inspires a drive to learn and a sense of achievement.

I encourage students to devote themselves to their practice. With my guidance, students develop cognitive skills, discipline, patience, artistry, and confidence.

I create a nurturing zone of self-expression for my students to explore the depths of their creativity. Let me show you how to channel the most powerful force for cosmic creation - sound!
