About Mika
My name is Mika, I’m a performer, writer, actor and workshop facilitator from Nottingham. I have been working across different sectors of the creative industry since 2017, with most of my work being embedded in theatre.
My background is in devised theatre making and I have performed on stages across the UK including the West End and US as well as on screen, I have performed in several Olivier nominated shows and In autumn 2026 I will be making my Broadway debut. I have experience in scriptwriting both for the stage and television where I received my first writer's credit for Hera Pictures and the BBC’s What It Feels Like For A Girl where I also made an appearance as an actor, the show was nominated for several BAFTAs this year.
My play Pink Lemonade debuted at Edinburgh Fringe in 2019 to rave reviews and transferred to Bush Theatre in London in 2021, the play is published by Methuen and a pilot was later commissioned by the BBC.
My work has been commissioned by Pentabus Theatre, Fifth Word, Marlborough Productions, the BBC and The Jamie Lloyd Company. I have also facilitated workshops for NYT, The Jamie Lloyd Company, Central School Of Speech And Drama and Outbox Theatre.
I recently qualified as a holistic massage therapist and I’m excited to explore how this new training will merge with my art practice, embodiment and creating from a grounded place is where it all begins.

I’m really all about what excites you, what you're drawn to in your life or curious about regarding art, nature, books or it could be sport, it doesn’t matter but I believe everything we engage with in our lives influences everything else and we can connect this to your artistic expression.
Depending on your creative task, project or exploration I can offer collaborative conversation, creative exercises, text analysis (including Shakespeare), tools and resources for grounding and embodiment and audition support.
What is helpful for me is to know what your needs are and then I am able to move from there, for example you might say “I have an idea for a play or a show but I’m struggling with the concept, form or themes” or you might have “writer's block” I could offer you stimuli and some exercises that can support you in unlocking what you already know deep inside but need some guidance to see it.
We can explore this stimuli and exercises during the session, and the stimuli doesn’t have to be written text, for example if you prefer video I can find something or perhaps even music, we all have different ways of being stimulated, learning and taking in information.
Based on what you share prior to a session I will be able to offer something from this information.
If you need help with an audition or self tape I can also guide you with this, we can look at the material you already have or I can offer some text that might speak to your different identities or experience and we can break it down and strip it back so you feel confident and grounded with the material, I would also offer some other exercises here that really speak to the fear we often carry into auditions or when taping.
