About Ella

I am a professional actress and have performed title roles in many of our leading regional theatres as well as on screen. Students of mine have gone on to secure drama school places, secure acting agents (for which I coached them through the whole process), Distinctions in LAMDA exams, book jobs from self tapes, and for my younger students: roles in school plays. I also tutor in confidence and interview technique. About the lesson

Hi! I'm Ella, a professional actress with much experience working in our leading regional theatres and on screen. I trained at Rose Bruford College on the Acting degree, graduating with first class honours in 2017. My teaching methods are tailored to each student and what they wish to achieve. I can help you choose and prepare drama school audition pieces, rehearse and film self tapes, or run lessons just for the fun of it! We can also work on vocal techniques to improve public speaking and confidence or simply introduce your youngster to the playful world of make believe. I am great with children and create fun, laid back and exhilarating lessons for them. I have recently helped one child student (7yrs old) and her parent secure her a top acting agent, and she has also just been awarded Distinction in her grade 1 LAMDA exam, which I coached her for. I can coach for theatre or TV/Film, having years of experience working in both.
For the older students: an amalgamation of the methods of Stanislavski and Meisner (living truthfully under imaginary circumstances through truly listening and responding), with Actioning and Physicality thrown in the mix to unlock each student's imagination and delivery. We will also develop tailored vocal warm ups to expand the voice. For the younger students: we can play fun games and exercises to boost confidence and imagination, and work on age specific scenes/songs in a relaxed environment. We can cover: Acting & Singing, Acting through Song, Screen Acting, Audition technique: including for drama schools LAMDA grades Shakespeare (beginners to advanced) Public speaking, confidence, Corporate role play exercises, Interview technique. For those who are applying to drama schools- I know how stressful and confusing it can all be! I can guide you through the process, from the initial selection of speeches and schools to apply for, to honing these and interview prep. I keep my prices cheap and competitive as I know how elitist this industry can seem.
