About Ross

Hi, I’m Ross and I am a First Officer for British Airways. I enjoy sharing my knowledge in aviation through providing tuition in ATPL theory; this is something which has been a passion of mine for the last six years.

I am an enthusiastic private tutor who has classroom teaching experience and a proven track record of helping clients achieve to their fullest potential.

I am able to offer online tuition in ATPL theory as well as face to face sessions within safe Covid-19 guideline. I greatly enjoy bringing the ATPL subjects to life, using real World examples from my career in the aviation industry, sharing my experience and knowledge as a commercial airline pilot.

About the lesson

I employ a patient and enthusiastic approach, tailoring every session to the individual needs of the client. My approach to teaching ATPL theory is to keep the lessons simple, enjoyable and relevant. I always keep current with the latest changes to the syllabus and have a proven track record of success in helping students who have fallen behind or are struggling with their ATPL studies.

I have always been more than happy to ‘go the extra mile’ for clients, and will remain contactable after students have completed their ATPL theory exams for any aviation related issues they may have in the future, whether this may be giving advice with the practical side of flight training, all the way through to offering advice on how to pass selection centres.

I am passionate about helping those who may have fallen behind and greatly enjoy unlocking students’ abilities, using teaching and coaching techniques which are tailored to the individual.

I’ve met Ross while seeking some help for interviews preparation in the Aviation industry.

Being tested on multiple and diverse subjects, he has been very versatile in helping me understand various elements of the selection processes. He has a very sharp knack for mathematics, physics, English... and his passion to flying made it a perfect tutor.

What I liked best was his sense of humor and friendliness. Never a stupid question or a wrong answer. Almost surprised Ross could fly a 747 knowing how down to earth he is :)

I strongly recommend him if you want to have a relax and efficient way of learning.

Ross is a dedicated and passionate private tutor who has helped me since I started my ATPL theory studies. Initially I struggled with Gen Nav, but with Ross’ help I have gone from average scores of 40% in my practice questions to achieving 92% in my final exam. I couldn’t recommend him enough!!
