I am a professional artist with private art school teaching experience. I have a BFA from OCAD University, majoring in Drawing and Painting. I am a skilled artist and an experienced teacher with knowledge of different art mediums, styles and techniques.

About the lesson

I teach through theory and practice. Each lesson we learn new skills and techniques while working on a drawing or painting. I focus on developing the student's talent, imagination and creative potential. Studying at the beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.

Perfect! I had remarkable sessions with Anna.. and plan to continue weekly. I was so impressed with her professionalism and eye for detail. She particularly helped me understand how to space my sketch onto the paper as well as understanding when it was time to begin working on detail and when the sketching process was finished. She worked with me vigilantly throughout, making me not just very happy with the result but also with the process! I would recommend Anna to anyone and all age groups.

When did you develop an interest in your chosen field?
I was interested in art ever since I was a child, so I became an artist early. I attended arts schools and in Art College drawing and painting became my career.
What makes you passionate about your subject?
Art is self-expression and inspiration. I love the freedom to create. Sharing the gift of art with others by teaching drawing and painting is a special joy to me.
What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?
I believe anyone can learn to be an artist. With special guidance and support, the abilities and potential of an individual can be nurtured and developed. I see what each student is capable of achieving, and can impart knowledge in a creative and enjoyable way.
Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?
I have a few role models, great artists like Leonardo da Vinci, and my art teachers have inspired me to be the artist and teacher that I am today.
What are your keys to success?
Love what you do. Share your gift with others. Express life in art. Always be learning. Be inspired to imagine and create.
