I’m a professional artist and business owner who believes art should feel exciting, expressive, and genuinely enjoyable—not intimidating. My lessons are full of energy, creativity, and encouragement, designed to help you loosen up, explore ideas, and build real confidence in your work.

I teach all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to students preparing for exams. Whether we’re refining techniques, developing coursework, or creating something just for fun, I tailor every lesson to you and how you learn best.

I’m patient, approachable, and fully invested in helping you grow, not just in skill, but in confidence. I’ll always encourage you to trust the process, embrace mistakes, and create work you’re truly proud of.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to be relaxed, supportive, and completely tailored to each student. Whether you’re picking up art for the first time, looking to build confidence, or preparing for school exams, I adapt each session to suit your goals and interests. I’m happy to help with current projects, guide you through new techniques, or structure lessons around specific outcomes you’d like to achieve.

For online lessons, I work flexibly with whatever materials you already have, helping you get the most out of them. For in-person sessions, I can bring a range of my own materials to explore different styles and methods together. I teach all ages and ability levels, and I pride myself on being patient, encouraging, and approachable—art takes time, and learning to trust the process is a key part of improving.

Perfect! Our daughter had her first art lesson with April and it was a wonderful experience. Our daughter would have a session every day if it was possible. April is warm, friendly and made our daughter feel very comfortable and excited about art. We are looking forward to the next session.
