I am Anna, a visual artist and art historian. I hold two Master’s degrees in Fine Art (including the Royal College of Art) and a PhD in Art History. I am a globally exhibiting artist with over 10 years of experience in the art field. I specialise in painting and drawing, helping students of all levels master technical skills, develop creativity, and build confidence. My lessons are tailored, practical, and inspiring, combining professional artistic practice with a supportive approach to learning. I also guide students in building standout portfolios, preparing for open calls, and applying to art schools. Focusing on each student’s individual needs, I provide expert feedback to help develop your own practice while deepening your understanding of contemporary art and art history. I can help you navigate the art world – how it functions, how to apply for open calls, how to distinguish good galleries, sell your work, and secure meaningful collaborations. Anna’s depth of understanding of both art history, technique and materials is seriously impressive, though she manages to make her lessons remarkably clear and relatable. I really enjoy our sessions!!!

Her feedback is always really astute - she has a knack of being able to ‘read’ a painting - often telling me what’s going on in one of my works before I even know myself!
