About Shivone

I am Shivone, a 23 year old artist based in East-London.
I am half Cuban and half Slovak, born and raised in Mallorca (Spain) and I just
graduated from London College of Music (Musical Theater).
I am an artist committed to the community and everything I do is connected to
it. For me it is the only way of changing the narrative by eliminating toxicity that
is in our industry and individualistic society we live in.
In the last year I created a theater company with which I co-devised our original
play ‘Miss Brexit’.
Its main theme is identity; we talk about the struggles of migrant artists, we
created original music for the play, we developed different ways of interacting
with the audience etc.
We toured through Europe, attending theater festivals and we were awarded at
two of them.
Our main aim is to give voice to minorities and create a platform for migrant
actors.
Also, I’ve recently choreographed an original opera ‘Musicofilia’ and I run heels
workshops to help people embrace their intimate side.
I am a singer-songwriter and I am currently working on my music project ‘The
Witch of Love’ where I unify my three cultures through love.
Genre wise, it is in the realm of soul, funk, afro-cuban, Latin-jazz to mention a few..
I love connecting with people through art so for me it is a practice whereI can give

About the lesson

Facilitating perfomance through acting with movement foundation from Marie Overlie's Viewpoints , Cechov , ,Uta Haagen, Lecoq to archetypes to find the right fit or self-expression all to expand and feel confident within acting.

Understanding voice techniques to feel where the voice feels good within the body again uniting it with movement such as yoga vinyasa or flow to find the connection breath-voice.

Movement as a way of understanding the body-breath-emotion taping into afrocuban rhythms, movement through music/physical impulses, laban efforts but also more choreographied styles like jazz (Fosse) and contemporary dance (Pina Bau,Alvyn Alley .)

The length is minimum 1 hour but it can be turned into a 1:30 session to workshops...
it is open to any age , level , moment in life, it is a space to be curios , open and give-receive ..

The lesson/s can be personalised g: jazz lesson or introducing acting
