About Mike
Hi I’m Mike! I have been playing various instruments since the age of 11. I eventually settled on the bass guitar as a firm favourite. My main musical education (apart from my degree) came from playing in bands. This is my favourite thing to do and I am currently in a 1950s rock and roll band, The Boulevards. We perform at events all around the World.
While I’m not performing with my band I work as an actor performing in shows around the UK. I believe working in this profession makes me personable and a good communicator. My nick name is Sniley Mike! :)

I have been a professional actor-musician for the past 15 years. During this time I started teaching individual music lessons.
I like to cater my lessons around my pupils learning songs and styles they are interested in whilst teaching and practicing good technique. This tends to keep all ages interested and keen to learn. I have a full DBS check and I have been teaching in schools for the past few years.
As a child the thing I found benefitted me most from having lessons was playing songs with my teacher that I actually wanted to practice! I carry that method forward as teacher now. Come and jam with me!
