About Joel
I’ve played music since I was a teenager, the classic story of a band needing a bass player even though I played guitar. as soon as I started playing, I realised that this was my main path all along.
Have played function bands, original bands an ELO tribute. Recorded a couple of my own songs, been in the studio with some local bands and been in pit bands for musicals.

Music teacher in schools for a decade performer for two decades!
Bass is the coolest instrument, we lay down the groove, we are the foundation and are heard in most styles of music from pop, funk, jazz, metal, reggae and even Greek music! If you want to get work in music everyone always needs a bassist!
I teach and play other instruments but my main instrument is the bass and that is what I would want to teach you.
Super passionate and filled with patience I’ll teach all ages and all abilities from pure beginner to advanced.
Maybe you need structure and a routine, I know that’s a difficult thing to get with the abundance of YouTube videos and going down the rabbit hole of overwhelming content!
Maybe you just want to play your favourite songs? My tailored approach to studying specific bassists will cover that!
Or you might want to get into theory, sight reading, jazz then I’ll cover you there too.
