About Tom

I’m a data scientist with 10+ years experience. I currently head up a data and analytics team including data scientists, data engineers, ML ops and data analysts so I have a broader knowledge than just science. I can teach statistics, mathematics, data analysis, data science and machine learning and even how to build applications in Python or, of course, Python itself.

About the lesson

I find learning by doing is the most effective method and so we will discuss the theory or subject to get the idea and then apply to examples. First I will present the material to you either through presentations and/or on a white board. We would then walk through examples together or pair on tasks.

Andi has a great attitude and is clearly really interested in his field. He listens well and often “plays back” the teachings as we go which is a great way to confirm the information is sinking in.

Andi lacks confidence in the programming side of data science but I think I can provide the tools to probe and experiment with Python code to remedy this.
