About Daniel
I love the arts and what a reflection they are of the individual and society of a whole. One of the most important things to me is the ability to express and create, but also being able to help nurture students in finding their voice.
Qualifications and experience includes BA Popular Music studies and currently studying an MA Practice as Research in Popular Music. I have 15 years of experience as a professional recording and touring drummer, as well as a drum tutor. I am comfortable teaching a range of styles including metal, funk, jazz, rock, folk, and pop. See North Downs, Milkie, Sarah Ann Ree, Beula, Mahogany Hand Glider.
My current specialisms for my MA includes Audio Visual performance and identity development using Ableton, Resolume and Sensory Percussion software. This is suitable for students looking to learn how VJ, and artists looking to expand their live performances with accompanying integrative/audio reactive visuals. Demonstrated through my own project Cousin Crock.
I currently work as a Note Taker and Sighted Guide for visually impaired music industry students, so as well as holding an Enhanced DBS check. I understand the needs of neurodivergent creatives and can accommodate lessons to fit varying learning styles.

One to one online lessons designed around students' individual technical, creative, and academic goals.
Length of lessons can be negotiated depending on what you want to learn.
My lessons can be adapated to any level. I offer a free first lesson to new students.
