About Lorelai
Lorelai is a Nashville-based drummer and honors student at Belmont University, studying commercial percussion with a focus on performance. She’s been playing percussion and drum set since age five, and since then has added voice, piano, and guitar to her skill set. She has performed everywhere from her hometown to the UK, and even Nashville’s iconic Ryman Auditorium—where she shared the stage with music legend Donny Osmond on “Crazy Horses.” Her experience ranges from studio sessions on Music Row to teaching percussion lessons online and composing for film. Passionate and versatile, Lorelai brings energy, creativity, and a fun groove to every performance and lesson. Most recently she teaches at Bach to Rock, subs for local gigs, is part of a Nashville-based metal band "Sunset Disclosure” who are preparing to record an EP, and getting ready to start work on a film composition project.

My teaching approach is often based off of how I view how the student learns. I use teaching/method books, write up my own exercises tailored to the student, and use songs to learn different concepts. I tailor these tools depending on if a student is a visual or aural learner.
I structure my lessons into 3 parts:
1hr lesson) First 10 min, warm up. Middle 40min, work on songs, concepts, music theory. Last 10min, recap lesson and homework to practice throughout the week.
30min lesson) First 5min, warm up. Middle 20min, work on songs, concepts, music theory. Last 5min, recap lesson and homework to practice throughout the week.
