About Marylene

Bonjour! I have been teaching French for over twenty years.

Born and raised in Paris, I have lived and taught in France and in the USA, including at the Alliance française school and cultural center of Los Angeles for about 16 years and I actually still teach there. I studied languages at the university of Paris.
I teach beginners, as well as advanced students, adults and college students and also offer conversation classes.

I also help students with their homework and prepare them for tests and have had quite a few successes with that, which are all documented.

Also, recently, two of my other students passed their language tests to acquire the French nationality after I had given them several lessons to help them get ready. They were nervous and didn't think they would pass at the beginning but they did and they were overjoyed!

About the lesson

Bonjour,
Would you like to speak and write French? I can teach you this beautiful language and you can have fun doing it too. My teaching methods will have you speaking very fast.
Currently, I teach online on Skype or Zoom and it is working very well. It is easy to access and provides practically the same environment as a real classroom.
I will test you during the first lesson.

Born and raised in Paris, I have lived and taught in France and in the USA, including French classes and individual students at the Alliance française (French Alliance) school and cultural center of Los Angeles for about 16 years and have taught French for 10 years to Nestle employees moving to French speaking Switzerland. I have a degree in languages from the university of Paris and also speak German fluently, as well as some Italian and Spanish and I am quite passionate about languages and linguistics. Altogether I have taught for about 30 years.
I can teach beginners, as well as advanced students as well as college students and also offer conversation classes.

Please contact me if you're interested and we'll go over the teaching possibilities. If you know a friend or family member who would like to learn too, you could arrange to have the lessons together. It would be even more fun. I am also available evenings and weekends and I give my lessons online, via Skype, Zoom, or whatever is most convenient for you.
