About Jacob
Learning guitar is a lifelong journey, and I love guiding students at every stage of their musical development. With Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music, I combine technical training, performance experience, and teaching expertise in every lesson. Lessons begin with core techniques like posture, finger placement, chord transitions, rhythm, strumming, and tone, then progress to improvisation, phrasing, and composition. Music theory is introduced practically, making it relevant and easy to apply. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s pace, goals, and style, fostering confidence, motivation, and creativity. I emphasize technical mastery, expressive playing, and performance readiness. Ear training, sight-reading, and performance practice are integral to developing well-rounded musicianship. Students explore multiple genres such as classical, jazz, rock, blues, and pop to broaden musical knowledge. I provide structured practice routines, feedback, and guidance to help learners overcome challenges. Milestones are celebrated to maintain motivation and reinforce progress. Students learn everything from rhythm and chords to songwriting and soloing.
