About Afshan
I am a retired Hindi teacher with over 35 years of teaching experience at Mount Carmel School, a reputed institution with branches across India and abroad. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Hindi, with Urdu and English as compulsory subjects, along with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
Throughout my career, I have guided hundreds of students from middle and secondary school, helping them excel in their examinations, including board exams, while developing a genuine appreciation for the Hindi and Urdu languages. Teaching has always been my passion, and I now look forward to sharing my knowledge with students across the world.
I teach learners of all ages, whether they are preparing for school examinations, improving their reading and writing skills, developing spoken Hindi or Urdu, or reconnecting with their mother tongue. My lessons are tailored to each student's learning style, making them engaging, practical, and confidence-building.
I am proficient in teaching Hindi reading, writing, grammar, literature, and spoken communication. With a strong understanding of teaching methodologies, curriculum planning, and syllabus requirements, I provide structured lessons, personalized guidance, and comprehensive notes with English translations whenever required to make learning easier and more effective.
I am proficient in teaching Urdu to develop reading and writing skills

Every student learns differently, and I believe that the best learning happens when lessons are tailored to the individual. With over 35 years of teaching experience, I make Hindi simple, engaging, and enjoyable for learners of all ages and abilities.
My classes combine grammar, reading, writing, literature, pronunciation, and conversation practice using real-life examples and interactive teaching methods for Hindi. Whether you are preparing for CBSE, ICSE, or State Board examinations, improving your spoken Hindi or Urdu, or learning the language from the beginning, each lesson is designed around your goals and learning pace.
I provide structured notes, English translations where required, regular assessments, and constructive feedback to help students build confidence and achieve lasting success. My aim is not only to help students score well in examinations but also to develop a genuine understanding and appreciation of the Hindi and Urdu languages in a friendly and encouraging learning environment.
