My lessons are for all ages and all levels. I started teaching Drawing and Painting in 2014 in schools and private workshops, helping students to improve their level and to find their own style, voice and expression. Typical length of a lesson: 2hs. I am a Fine Arts Graduate and I work as a professional comic book artist and illustrator for movie posters, book covers, album art, storyboards, board games and concept art for video games. For many years I dedicated my life to study drawing, painting, composition, art history, sculpture, printmaking (engraving) and other subjects. I took multiple courses and workshops of drawing, painting, illustration, concept art and comic-book art in South America and Europe. My lessons are for all ages and all levels. No previous experience required. I want to know your interests, your intentions and your favourite art styles and we will go from there!

  • When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?

Every time someone asks me when I started drawing, I always respond the same way: When did you stop drawing? Because every child likes to draw and paint (and even sculpt little figures with clay sometimes). Then, as we grow up, unfortunately most people slowly leave it behind. So in some way, my goal is to preserve and recover that playful and enjoyable part of drawing and painting that we lose over the years, and to encourage younger generations to never lose it.
  • Which artists or works affect you the most?

I think there were three things that shaped my style and passion for art, and all of them happened when I was a kid: animated cartoons, comic books, and video games. Later, once I studied Fine Arts, I became a big fan of the Italian Renaissance and classical art in general. In terms of specific artists, I really like Rembrandt, Caravaggio, Bernini, Rubens, and many others. From the comic book world, I enjoy the work of Riccardo Federici, Lucio Parrillo, Greg Capullo, and many others.
  • What are the qualities and skills required to succeed in this area?

A lot of patience and passion. Having fun is equally important.
  • What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?

If you have a clear purpose and dedicate enough time and effort to it, you’re going to succeed! Also, try to find a good tutor who can help and guide you through the process. Ideally, someone who is where you want to be or who has achieved something you would like to achieve yourself.
  • How would you describe your passion? How does it make you feel?

It makes me feel connected to my purpose in life. Drawing and painting are what I enjoy doing the most in the world, and communicating that passion to others is incredibly rewarding.
  • What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?

I’m proud of having worked with very famous brands and companies as an illustrator, creating storyboards, posters, and different types of illustrations for award-winning movies featuring world-class actors. As a professor, I really enjoy communicating with my students and sharing all the knowledge that was once shared with me. It’s a cycle. I believe all knowledge should be shared — it shouldn’t just stay in your mind.
  • Have you ever been surprised by a student, by their ability or quick progression?

I’m surprised very often! There’s a lot of talent around the world that deserves to be discovered, recognized, and trained. That’s why it’s so important to find a good teacher who can help you improve your skills.
  • Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?

Teaching is not only about sharing knowledge. It’s about sharing passion and curiosity, developing an appreciation for images, helping someone understand themselves better artistically, and showing them a wide range of options, styles, and techniques — always fully respecting the student’s personal preferences and interests in what they want to draw and paint. Different processes lead to different results, and it’s the teacher’s job to provide not only the best advice, but also the advice the student needs at each moment of their journey. When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.
