About Nicholas

The school was international, this meant that we had a wide range of students from all over the world. The school taught all subjects in English except for the Thai language classes that students had to take as part of their curriculum.

The school environment was fantastic to work in and all the students and teachers worked together as one big happy family. Over the years I was also given the opportunity to teach graphic design to high school and was head of discipline for the middle and high school section. Both of which I loved taking part in. Graphic and web design allowed the students to express themselves in different ways, not to mention the time they were given to use the computers, completing new projects and learning something new to them.

Being Head of Punishment wasn't as bad as it sounds, although there were new and strange cases from students on a daily basis it was normally for those who were constantly late, not doing their homework and other minor issues. Although a punishment it gave me more time to spend with some of the student I didn't normally see and gave me the chance to build up a great relationship with all the students from that age group even if I wasn't their full time teacher.

Although I loved my job I decided that 10 years of service and the fact that my students that I had taught for the last six years had just graduated it was time to change and move on. I still keep in contact with most of my students on Facebook, it makes me smile to se them growing up and doing well in university and at life in general.

Since then I have lived back in London, England for two years and then onto Gozo, Malta were many of my family members live now. I have decided to start teaching again after a 3 year year break as i truly miss it and would like to start again with new students.

About the lesson

10 years of classroom teaching at international school teaching middle and high school age groups. All area of the English Language covered. Including additional lessons such as graphic design, web design, social studies and arts and crafts.

Knowledge of a wide range of teaching styles and subjects.
Able to write and produce new and exciting teaching material.
Excellent classroom management skills of all ages.
Managing students work within and out of the classroom environment.
Great at teaching basic skills such as tidiness of classrooms, punctuality, general school behavioural skills.
Strong skills in understanding students and able to provide extra support for children with special needs
