Teaching in the hospital environment, working in ICU as a professional nurse/team leader i am continuously teaching and orientating new and part time staff in the clinical environment. One on one teaching with students studying for ENA courses Bridging Students.

As a nurse educator I am approachable and open creating a conducive environment for teaching and learning. Having a learner thats comfortable and relaxed enhances active participation hence making learning experience enjoyable and fruitful.
Teaching method

My most effective teaching method is visualization. It helps to enhance cognitive domain and retention of knowledge. Examples of these are, videos, posters, pictures, audio clips etc.Improves on pychomotor and affective domains.
Another favorite of mine is humour. It helps to explain a concept of principle. Humour facilitates relaxation, and improves on the cognitive domain.
Feedback is vital as part of assessing students understanding of contents taught. I love to use case scenarios, crossword puzzles, debates etc.
