About Chauncey
I have sung professionally with Virginia Opera, Opera Saratoga, Sacramento Phil & Opera, among other institutions.
I received my MM in voice from New England Conservatory and was a graduate diploma candidate at the Jacobs School of Music where I sang the title role in Verdi’s Falstaff with maestro Marzio Conti.
I’ve worked with coaches and conductors that work regularly at top opera houses including the Metropolitan Opera, LA Opera, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, La Scala, and so on.
Currently, I am in early development of a one-man chamber opera set to select text from Whitman’s Calamus Poems with composer Cody Forrest, as well as in early development of staging Schubert’s Der Winterreise to be performed at fringe festivals.

In my studio we will uncover your true sound. Through breath-work and body grounding exercises you will find a deeper connection to your voice. I work with singers at every level and all ages.
Classical and Musical Theater are what I have personal experience in, but I’m comfortable teaching most genres of music. Singing, no matter the genre, is about breath; it all comes from the same source.
I look at myself as a guide. You have all of the proper equipment, I am here to help you line it all up and put it all together. Singing is a simple act but it takes time and effort to find the efficiency and ease that lets your voice soar. Let’s find your sound, together!
