About Elaine

I am a dedicated Piano tutor with 10 years of experience teaching students of different ages and skill levels. I work with school students, college students, and working professionals who are passionate about learning Piano and improving their musical abilities.

My teaching approach focuses on understanding each student's strengths and challenges. I design lessons that are personalised, practical, and engaging, ensuring students remain motivated while achieving steady progress.

Students in my classes learn piano fundamentals, scales, chords, rhythm patterns, sight reading, ear training, music theory, and performance techniques. I also emphasise the importance of discipline, consistency, and proper practice habits.

In addition to Piano instruction, I teach keyboard skills and foundational music theory. I encourage students to think creatively and explore different styles of music while maintaining strong technical development.

Through patience, clear communication, and ongoing support, I help students gain confidence and achieve their musical goals. My mission is to make Piano learning enjoyable, accessible, and rewarding for everyone.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is built on communication, creativity, flexibility, patience, and continuous encouragement. I believe piano education should help students grow as musicians while also building confidence, discipline, and self-expression.

Students begin by learning proper posture, hand position, finger techniques, rhythm, note reading, and music theory. After mastering these fundamentals, they continue with scales, chords, arpeggios, pedal techniques, dynamics, sight reading, expressive playing, and performance preparation.

I encourage students to understand music through listening, observation, and practical application. Every lesson includes demonstrations, guided practice, regular revision, and constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.

Students are introduced to different musical genres according to their interests. Creative activities such as accompaniment, improvisation, and musical interpretation help them become expressive and confident performers.

Besides piano, I also teach keyboard techniques, ear training, rhythm development, music theory, sight reading, music appreciation, and beginner composition. These supporting subjects provide a complete musical education.

My mission is to create a friendly and motivating learning environment where students enjoy every lesson, achieve steady progress, and develop a lifelong appreciation for piano and the joy of making music.
