About Ugi

I am an experienced Piano instructor with 14 years of teaching experience. My students include school children, college learners, and working professionals who want to improve their musical skills and confidence.

My teaching philosophy is based on understanding each student's unique learning needs. I create customised lesson plans that balance technical training, music theory, and creative exploration. This approach helps students stay motivated while achieving their goals.

My lessons cover scales, chords, rhythm, sight reading, ear training, finger exercises, music theory, improvisation, and performance preparation. I emphasise proper technique and effective practice habits to ensure long-term success.

In addition to Piano, I teach keyboard skills and music reading. I encourage students to develop discipline, creativity, and independent learning habits that support their musical growth.

I take pride in creating a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel confident and inspired. My goal is to help every student become a capable and expressive musician.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is built around communication, creativity, flexibility, and continuous encouragement. I believe every student learns in a unique way, so I adapt my lessons to match each student's age, experience, interests, and learning goals. My objective is to make every piano lesson enjoyable, productive, and easy to understand.

I begin by helping students develop a strong foundation through proper posture, correct hand position, finger exercises, note reading, rhythm, and basic music theory. These essential skills prepare students for advanced topics such as scales, chords, arpeggios, pedal techniques, dynamics, sight reading, and expressive performance.

Every lesson includes practical demonstrations, guided practice, and regular revision. I explain musical concepts using simple English so students clearly understand each topic before moving forward. Students are encouraged to ask questions, think independently, and build confidence through regular practice.

To make learning enjoyable, students explore different musical styles including classical, pop, movie themes, devotional music, and contemporary songs. Creative activities such as simple improvisation and accompaniment help students improve musical expression and confidence.

Besides piano, I also teach keyboard skills, music theory, rhythm training, ear training, sight reading, performance preparation, and music appreciation. These subjects provide students with a complete understanding of music.

My goal is to help students become confident musicians who enjoy learning, perform with expression, and continue improving throughout their musical journey.
