James is a wonderful artist - I own several of his paintings. He is so knowledgeable about languages, literature, the history of art and the importance of these in our lives. He is able to impart his knowledge with kindness and patience and he would be an inspirational teacher.

I worked in a studio in London where James had an adjoining unit and I got to know him very well over a four year period. He is a very competent painter and in my view he would make an ideal teacher. I picked up a good few insights about composition and colour balancing and nothing was too much trouble for him.
James has built up an impressive portfolio and I am certain he can impart a lot of knowledge to students keen to learn from an established painter. He has a pleasant and positive outlook and is very patent as I know from first hand experience.
His formal academic qualification gives him a depth of knowledge and a disciplined approach to learning .
If I was at the beginning of my painting career I would welcome learning from a teacher like him.

James is highly skilled in many painting and drawing techniques. He has studied the practices of a wide range of master artists and is able to replicate and teach their approaches, but also has a distinctive personal visual style and approach. James is a fellow professional artist, specialising in the classical style of painting. He has a vast amount of knowledge in this field - more than most contemporary artists. Therefore, he can offer the kind of tuition that isn't always available in art schools where the tutors themselves don't have the answers as they often haven't studied as comprehensively. James has spent many years studying the Old Masters in depth as his own stunning paintings will clearly show. You couldn't hope for a better tutor.
