Hi, I’m Deborah—a professional software engineer with over 10 years of experience in the tech industry and a passion for teaching. I’ve worked on real-world applications and mentored junior developers, and now I bring that same clear, supportive guidance to my tutoring sessions. Whether you’re learning to code for the first time or advancing your programming skills, I provide a structured, patient, and encouraging environment where you can build confidence and truly understand the “why” behind the code. As a tutor, I combine over a decade of professional software engineering experience with a passion for making coding approachable and engaging. My teaching method is project-based and hands-on—students learn by building real applications, games, or tools, not just memorizing syntax.

A typical lesson begins with a quick check-in on previous goals, followed by a mini-lesson tailored to the student's current level. From there, we dive into an interactive coding activity where students practice the concept through guided challenges. I emphasize problem-solving, logical thinking, and creativity.

What sets me apart is my ability to adapt to each student's learning pace while connecting technical skills to real-world use. Whether you’re brand new to programming or looking to go deeper in Python or JavaScript, I meet you where you are and help you grow from there.
