About Ian
I have worked as a tour guide, teacher and trainer for the last 14 years. I have given hundreds of tours to audiences large and small. I can make an audience laugh or bring them to tears with my tours. For the last six years I have worked at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights telling very difficult stories to children, adults and even members of the Supreme Court of Canada. I am a professional certifcation assessor for heritage interpretation and am a specialist in adapting tours to the diverse needs of audiences.
I have spent 5 years in Toastmasters and ran one of the first Youth Leadership Toastmasters Groups in Manitoba. I believe that no matter who you are, your age or ability you can be an excellent speaker. I have worked with youth and adults to take them to the next level.
I have a B.Sc. in Computer Science, a B.A. in History and a B.Ed.

If you choose to work with me we will take you from where you are now to where you want to be. My classes will cover everything from pace and pitch to how to breath properly and modulate your volume so you don't lose your voice. We can also work through how to write speeches that will have your audiences on the edge of their seat. I am also able to help those learning English and with speech impediments to be successful. Let's work together to build your confidence.
