Active Problem Solving: I follow the "I Do, We Do, You Do" model. I demonstrate a concept, we solve a mid-level problem together, and then the student tackles a challenge independently while I provide real-time, corrective feedback.
Visual & Computational Analogies: For complex topics like Calculus or Linear Algebra, I use visual aids and real-world analogies (like physics or data patterns) to make the math "visible."
A Typical Lesson Plan (60 Minutes)
Every session is structured to ensure maximum retention and confidence building:
The "Warm-Up" (5–10 mins): We review a difficult problem from the previous session or address a specific hurdle from their current school homework.
Concept Deep-Dive (15–20 mins): Introduction of the new topic using whiteboarding and interactive visualization. We focus on the "logic" behind the math.
Guided Practice (20 mins): We work through a series of increasing difficulty levels. I emphasize showing work and verbalizing the thought process to catch logic gaps early.
The "Challenge" & Wrap-Up (10 mins): A final, unassisted problem to verify mastery, followed by a summary of key takeaways and a preview of the next lesson.
