About Michael
I am a dedicated and passionate tennis coach who enjoys helping players develop their skills, gain confidence, and discover their potential on the court. I believe every student can improve with the right guidance, consistent practice, and a positive learning environment.
My coaching style is patient, professional, and encouraging. I take the time to understand each player's goals and adapt my approach to suit their individual needs, whether they are learning the basics or working to become more competitive. I value discipline, commitment, and steady progress, while making sure every lesson remains enjoyable and motivating.
For me, coaching is about more than teaching tennis techniques. It is also about developing confidence, concentration, sportsmanship, and a genuine love for the game. I take pride in seeing my students improve over time and feel more comfortable on the court.

My tennis lessons are designed to help every player improve their skills, build confidence, and enjoy the game. I take a personalised approach, adapting each session to the student's ability, learning style, and goals. Whether you are picking up a racket for the first time or looking to improve your performance, I will help you develop your game step by step.
I focus on building strong fundamentals, including grip, footwork, serving, groundstrokes, volleys, positioning, and consistency. I combine practical demonstrations, targeted drills, and guided practice to help students understand not only how to perform each technique but also when to use it. I provide clear feedback and encouragement throughout every lesson.
Each session begins with a warm-up and movement exercises, followed by technical drills tailored to your needs. We then practise specific shots, improve rally consistency, and work on tactical awareness through point-based exercises or match situations. Every lesson finishes with a review of your progress and clear goals to work towards before the next session.
I believe good coaching is about more than hitting the ball. It is about understanding each player's strengths, identifying areas for improvement, and creating a supportive environment where progress feels achievable. I am patient, approachable, and committed to helping students develop at their own pace while maintaining high standards and purposeful training.
I welcome children, beginners, recreational players, and intermediate players who want to improve their technique, movement, consistency, and confidence on court. Lessons are adapted to individual needs, whether your goal is to learn the basics, enjoy tennis as a hobby, prepare for matches, or take your performance to the next level.
My aim is to help you become a more confident, capable, and independent player while making every lesson productive, enjoyable, and rewarding.
