My name is Darryl, and I am a dedicated music educator and professional trumpet performer with over 18 years of experience teaching students and developing successful music programs. My name is Darryl, and my approach to tutoring is focused on building strong fundamentals while helping each student develop confidence, creativity, and a true love for music. I combine structured technique exercises, music theory, ear training, performance skills, and real-world examples from my experience as a professional musician and educator.
A typical lesson includes warm-ups, skill-building exercises, rhythm and technique development, learning songs or musical passages, and time for questions and creative exploration. I adjust each lesson based on the student’s goals, learning style, and current ability level.
What sets me apart is my 18+ years of experience as a music educator, ensemble director, and performing trumpet player. I teach beginners, intermediate students, advanced musicians, and students preparing for auditions, performances, school programs, or personal growth. My lessons are designed for all ages and levels, from first-time musicians to students seeking to improve their musicianship and performance abilities.
